Once you go “crazy old sea captain”…
Riiight.
That bearded chubby guy is George Raymond Richard Martin. He is the author of the “Song of Fire and Ice”, “Dreamsongs” and a co-author of “Wild Cards”.
He rules and stuff. His books are filled with traitors, blood, brains, erections, incest, graphical descriptions of the ways to die, dragons, fire, nerds and swords.
Also I met him on a book-signing event last summer. I asked her about lesbians and footnotes.
